Time to Apply: Cherrywood Art Fair

The most wonderful time of year will be here before we know it. That's the handmade holiday shopping season in case you were wondering. Chula League's Cherrywood Art Fair has become a classically Austin event that happens the second weekend of December. If you offer giftable fine art and handmade items, this show would be a great opportunity to get in front of lots of buyers. Plus, there's music, food, family entertainment and more. The Artist Application is now live, and ready to hear from you. Below I've outlined more details about what to expect. Good luck!

  • When: 2nd Weekend in December
  • Length: 2 Days, 10:00am - 5:00pm
  • Where: Maplewood Elementary (3808 Maplewood Ave)
  • Parking: Streets Around School
  • Entry Fee: Free
  • Number of Vendors: Approx. 90
  • Types: All Arts & Crafts
  • Art Price Range: $-$$
  • Average Attendees: 4,000 / day
  • Refreshments: Food Trucks on Site

Event Notes
  • Juried Show with selection made based on craftsmanship & originality.
    • Legacy vendors are appreciated, but not prioritized.
    • Organizers also consider a balance of artistic specialties.
    • Certain percentage of new vendors required each year.
  • Both indoor & outdoor booths available; corresponding fees vary.
  • Vendors asked to donate to silent auction benefiting the Chula League.
  • Vendors must provide their own booth setups, including tent if outdoors.
  • Organizers do a good job of advertising the event & attracting visitors.
  • Show will be held regardless of weather; no cancellation for rain or cold.
  • Artists can share a booth, but each must submit their own application.
